Make Your Favorite Perfume Last Longer

Applying the body lotion that comes with your favorite perfume, right after you have a bath or shower, and then the perfume, makes all the difference. This simple trick will make your perfume last all day. Plus, you'll be getting a semi spa experience!

At least that's what I thought the other day when I saw the Lancome sets that I show you in this video . I got one for my mom's birthday. She loved it! Plus, this fragrance is so nice and wearable. It's a classic.

When I went to my mom's house to give her the present, I took advantage of the warm weather and went for a bike ride with my boys.

Trying Balayage on my Hair

I've reached that age where you want your childhood hair back. My hair is no longer the same so I decided to contact my colorist. Balayage she said. So that's what I did.

I've always had these natural "dulce de leche" colored highlights growing up. I thought that I would be able to replicate them... Nope, haven't achieved the exact look yet. Maybe next time. I'll keep trying!

If somebody ever creates a dye that activates when in contact with the sun, then that will be the day I get what I want. Until then, Balayage seems to be the answer for me.

Will keep you updated.

Do you have any preferred methods for coloring your hair? Very interested to know.

In this video there's a bit of everything, hairdresser appointments, coffee with friends, and filming.

Have a watch, it's a fun one, I promise.

Thank you!

Self-Care to Prevent Eating Disorders

I'm so excited about the positive changes we are witnessing in social media. I see brands hiring models with more regular body weight, and I'm loving it!

Self care is in and self improvement is out. You don't need to sacrifice that cookie. Enjoy all the foods and strive to be healthy. Not obsessed.

I hope you enjoy the video!

Take Time To Smell The Flowers.

It's been a hard year, and I decided to end it with grace and self care.  I hope you will feel inspired by this video to take care of yourself and prioritize what matters the most.

Although the photo shows my fragrant jasmines, "taking time to smell the roses" is very crucial for me at this point so that's what I will be doing for the next couple of months.

To me, that includes spending time with my family, reading, writing on the blog, filming, editing, and uploading YouTube videos!

I hope you enjoy this update. See you soon!

Caudalie Gems

When I filmed this Caudalie Haul I said I would review every item bought.

Time went by and now it's time to let you know about my favorite ones. I always thought an Empties Video was the best way to learn from really good products. So that's what I did. I filmed an empties video. The eye cream by Caudalie is long gone, but it remains one of my favorites.

I hope you enjoy today's video!

What's your favorite product from Caudalie? Have you ever tried this brand?

The Argentinian Gaucho-Inspired Runway

For my Argentine Series video I broke down the gaucho style and its influence on global fashion design.

These Donna Karen gaucho pants (above) are the perfect combination of comfort and style. Do you own a pair of trousers like that? I would recommend them.

Espadrilles come from our gauchos as well! Who knew that the shoes everybody wears here at least once in a lifetime would become so stylish.

And then, my personal favorite: Handbags. Behold! The Gaucho Saddle Bag by Christian Dior.

Below, the gaucho look in all its glory and on the runway.

I like to think that the Gaucho style is approved by Vogue magazine and here's proof. Here's an article in Vogue from May of this year. It's safe to say that this trend is here to stay and that it's a style in and of itself.

More about Polo sport, original Gauchos and fashion in today's video. Thank you for watching!

Do you like this style? Would you wear it? I definitely wear Ponchos here.

Help! My Son's Jacket Fits Me Perfectly

Have you ever felt like your kids have grown overnight? That happened to me this past week and I vlogged the moment I realized his jacket fits me to a tee.

In this video you will also find a little of what goes on in my life when I'm not filming. Which is 99.8 percent of the time!

This week I filmed a video, bought shoes and went to lunch with a friend, which I completely forgot to vlog. I only remembered to turn on my cellphone (yes, I still vlog with my cellphone) once I went back into my car to go to a Leather Fair, which I did film.

The Argentine Women Beauty Series: Nails & Makeup.

When it comes to makeup, women in Buenos Aires tend to keep up with the latest trends. However, every day makeup is a complete different story. There are certain do's and dont's that we instinctively follow.

The same goes for nails. Reds are definitely a go to color here but there are a few other shades that Porteñas (women born in Buenos Aires City) use on a regular basis.

If you are looking for some makeup and manicure inspiration, you may find it in Today's video!

Hasta la próximal!

The Importance of Your Morning Routine

What's your morning routine?

I was curious about Evan Carmichael's because in his book, Your One Word, he mentions how important it is for him to feel inspired every morning. So, I asked him, and then I got his video response in my inbox. Whaaat? Yes. How kind of him to take the time to film the answer!

In this video I tell you my school run morning routine and then he explains how he prepares for productive days every morning.

I hope you like it!

The Argentine Women Beauty Series. 10 Beauty Secrets of Argentine Women

First things first... did you know there's an Argentine Queen? We don't have royalty here, but she married a Prince so there you go. Life twists and turns I guess.

Although beauty is quite universal, I think every country has its common denominator when it comes to beauty and style.

In these series, I will be sharing all about Argentine style and beauty. The Argentine Queen, Maxima of the Netherlands, and her hair, are a perfect example of the style that women here mostly ask for at the hair salon.

I hope you like the video and the series.

PS. Please share a beauty secret from your country of origin?  I'm very curious to know. Thanks!

Ayurveda's Natural Remedy to Get Your Voice Back: Golden Milk.

I am lucky enough to have two best friends. One of them is a Licensed Nutritionist. The other one is an Agricultural Engineer. But, we are not talking about Analia, for now.

Karina, the nutritionist, came to the rescue, a couple of weeks back, when I had no trace of voice. Not a sound. NADA. I was communicating either through whispering (which by the way is so tiring!) or random hand gestures (not very effective either).

She told me to have a cup of curcuma (also known as turmeric) milk and go to bed. "You'll be fine tomorrow" she said. Which led me to believe that she was an extremely positive person given my condition at the moment.

So I drank it, went to bed, and the next morning, my voice was back. What?! YES!

In this video you'll hear more about my friend and also you'll learn how to make this magical milk.

Please share this, save it, or remember it. It could get your voice back one day... Thank you!

Make It Happen

My YouTube, Facebook, Blogging, and Instagram friends are all cheering for me. My kids have been encouraging me quietly ever since I started babbling about my handbag business. As a matter of fact, my whole family has been patiently waiting for me to go for it. So you see... I really need, want, have to make this happen asap.

Although I've been under the weather this past week, and that's why this vlog was long over due, I feel like I'm getting my energy back now and I'm ready to roll. I'm ready to embrace uncertainty and plunge into the online handbag business world.

In an unexpected turn of events, what once started as a fun project has turned into something that I need to accomplish, a challenge if you will.

A giveaway and hopefully a proper handbag reveal video will be coming your way in the next few months so please stay tuned for that!

Lastly, if you are one of the encouraging people mentioned above, (chances are, if you are reading this, you are it!) please know that  your support means the world to me. Words are not enough to express the value of feeling reassured and appreciated.

Thank you!

Teachers Advice For Parents

A few months back, in a school gathering, teachers greeted us parents with coffee, a croissant, and this beautiful note.

When I read it I immediately felt content, and confident in that my kids were going to the right school. The note is in Spanish but I hope I will try to translate it as accurately as possible. It goes like this...

When Educating Our Children, All Exaggeration is Negative

Answer them, don't inform them.
Protect them, do not suffocate them.
Help them, do not do everything for them.
Love them, do not idolize them.
Walk by their side, don't carry them.
Show him the danger, don't frighten him.
Include them, don't cut them off.
Encourage them to dream big, don't discard their hopes and ideas.
Don't demand perfection, ask them to be good and show by example.
Don't lavish all your love to them, surround them with love.
Don't just say "go do your homework", provide a study environment.
Don't build a Castle for them, live naturally.
Don't tell her how or what they should be, be who you want them to be.
Don't live for them, live with them.
Remember, your children don't listen to you, they observe you...

I thought I'd share this because as a parent I feel that I need these reminders from time to time. Do you? Thoughts? Comments? Let me know what you think.

P.S. If you would like to read more about this particular subject. Read this article from The Guardian, it's a good one!

This and That...Thoughts on Fall Coziness & Building Resilience

Since the majority of you, my northern hemisphere friends, are getting into Fall and Winter I thought I'd transmit my love for the colder months to you before we get into full Spring mode in Argentina, which leads to my dreaded season, summer!

I also talked about the importance of building resilience and how to go about it. Hope you enjoy the video.

Fast Makeup: Clinique Chubby Sticks

Ever since I heard Lily Pebbles talk about her highlighter I wanted to give it a try . I did, and it's been my solution in the highlighting department. It's quick, easy, and I really feel like I've found makeup that facilitates the application process.

This vlog shows behind the scenes of the day I bought these Clinique products, and the first time I applied them.

There's also cake, window shopping, and a mini haul.

See you there!

P.S.  I'm curious to know, what quick and easy makeup products would you recommend?

Autumn & Winter Lookbook

What is your "uniform"? Do you have one? I do! I have a few uniforms on rotation per season.

Once I feel comfortable in an outfit that I really like, I wear it over and over again. This comes particularly handy for the school run.

Coats are included and also tea, of course...

I hope you like this short video with some winter and fall inspiration. My uniforms and most worn outfits of the season.

About Short Hair & A Lip Combo

Have you ever went to the hairdresser, without a hair appointment, to see if by any minuscule chance, he could squeeze you into his busy schedule? And then he unbelievably did have a free spot for you, and then he cut your hair a bit shorter than you expected but really loved it in the end?

Well, that happened to me this past Friday. So obviously I decided to film a video. I had to show you my new hair properly, of course!

In this video I also talk about something that makes me mad, which is when women feel like they have to leave their hair long to "agree" with the men in their lives (kids, husbands, etc.)

There's also a lip combo that I like, and four empties that I will be repurchasing soon.

I hope you like it!

When Life Gives You Lemons...Do Yoga

What are your full proof resources to make you feel good, change your energy, turn a bad day into a good one? Flowers? Coffee? Tea? Hygge

I have a few tricks up my sleeve (all of the above included) but the most effective one is doing Yoga. More specifically Yoga With Adriene

I find that the days where I need it the most are the days when I slack and end up finding excuses not to get on the mat. But once in a while, I'm able to "find what feels good" and do my Yoga, no matter what, which changes my day for the better.

What's your favorite "feel good" workout?

Feeling Grateful

As I get older I understand more and more the whys.

Why we need to follow our dreams, interests, and pursue that which we enjoy doing. There's a reason for this. Once you put passion and work into doing what you love, the outcome tends to be always even greater than you imagined.

For one, you enjoy what you do. But interestingly enough, the joy of seeing that what you do is actually beneficial for others, tends to surpass the benefits of "doing what you love because you enjoy that" part. It's way better!!

There's more to doing what you love than you may think. If you follow your interests, you will be surprisingly contributing positively to other people's well being and the ripple effect will be huge.

So, if you like to paint, paint; if you enjoy baking, bake! More likely than not, you will do it with such enthusiasm and eagerness that the results will impact powerfully over others. You never know what somebody else is going through at that moment and who knows, may be all that person needed was a delicious blueberry muffin to mitigate life ups and downs.

Watch today's video to understand this crazy and philosophical post!

Caudalie Skin Care

Have you ever heard of Caudalie?

It's a French brand that makes the most luxurious creams, foams, and masks, you name it. Apart from making cutting edge cosmetics, they are all natural!

Mathilde Thomas, founder of Caudalie, started her company at the vineyards on her family estate. All her products are based on the power of grape. Their aim is 0%  parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, animal ingredients, etc...

I really can attest to the fact that these products have a light grape scent that goes away in a matter of minutes. The creams are gentle but effective and feel like you are applying 0 chemicals to your skin.

I'm a huge fan of their cosmetics and I keep mentioning them in my videos because they are that good.

Outfit Conversations

*Check out my kitchen power pose, haha!

Whenever I like a sweater, or any type of garment for that matter, I tend to
wear it all the time until it almost turns into my uniform.

That happened with my sweaters. This past autumn and winter I ended up only wearing the ones I like the most, as one does. The not-used-even-one-time sweaters are going to the give away pile. Because, what's the point?

I think you understand my need to add something new in the wool tops department. So with that in mind I went to Zara.

I found two sweaters that fit the "uniform material" category. Yay! And I also could not resist the striped tops for spring and summer, because, you know...stripes.

Enjoy the video!

Silky Hair Combo

I've been wanting to try this shower gel on my hair for a while but I was never quite ready to take the risk. It smells SO amazingly fresh, and clean that I wanted my hair to smell like that as well!

So, finally, the other day, I decided to be brave and take the plunge.

Although it doesn't say anywhere in the bottle that it's good for hair, I did use it and the results were surprisingly amazing. Keep in mind that I applied Aussie's 2 minute miracle as well, though.

I was ready to take one for the team and tolerate the frizzy hair in order to be able to smell like a dream for a day. But no. My hair looked and felt even silkier and softer than with my regular shampoo! Who knew! I certainly didn't.

It's all in this video. That, and lots of other bits and bobs...

What Do You Stand For?

Do you have a core belief that guides your decision making?

The other day I was watching one of Evan Carmichael's videos and I never imagined what was about to happen.

Evan is the founder of Evan Carmichael Communications Group, which specializes in coaching and social media strategy for entrepreneurs.

His latest book, Your One Word, is extremely motivational and impactful. His One Word? #Believe.

I recently had the opportunity to prove that not only his channel is based on the word, #Believe, but also his team and actions.

Exhibit A:
Long story short, I left a comment in this video. Evan (whose channel is close to 1 million YouTube subscribers) answered me (close to 200 YouTube subscribers!)

Exhibit B:
Shortly after, his team sent me an e-mail asking if I wanted to read his book and give my honest review. (Whaaat?)

Exhibit C:
They sent the book, I read it, and loved it.

Final results?  I #Believe!! (background music recommended)

After reading the book you'll feel compelled to find "Your One Word" and base your business and your life around it. It explains how successful companies like Apple, Nike, and many others have a core belief, a word, that guides every action, every decision.

Before you watch my video, a warning... I may or may not have sung this song at the beginning. Already regretting it, oh well...it is what it is...enjoy and/or cover your ears. Anyhow thank you for watching!

The Most Beautiful Bookshop in The World

Last week was the last week of our Winter holidays, and I wanted to take my boys to a special place here in Buenos Aires. I wanted them to see what the city they were born in has to offer.

Although it can be challenging to compete with iPads and Play Stations, at the age of 11 and soon-to-be 13, my idea to visit this bookstore ended up being a good one. They really liked it.

It's all in this short video, enjoy!

P.S. Yes it is the most beautiful bookshop in the world, and no, I'm not biased...(may be a little bit?) The grandiosity and charm of this bookshop is due to the fact that it was built in a former theater!

My Idea Of Fun Involves Nail Polish

I've been known for my obsession inclination towards nail polish. Let's be honest here, basically my eyes go straight to a nicely manicured hand whenever I spot one.

When it comes to fashion and beauty, that's one of the first things I notice in women, even before makeup or clothes! Having said that, my nails are not always well groomed, (not even close) but I do try...

Some of my favorites:

Apparently this is what I choose to do when the opportunity to enjoy a free afternoon knocks on my door.

  1. Film a video
  2. Organize my nail polish box.

The result is in the following video

What's your favorite color?
